Destination: Iceland (A Photographic Journey)

It has always been important to me to offer more than the standard for senior portraits. Diversity is an integral part of the creative experience for me, and over the years I’ve developed innovative ways to incorporate it in my photo sessions.

Every year I make it a mission to embark on a destination photo shoot that adds a new dimension of beauty, culture, and visual artistry to senior portraits. These extraordinary destination shoots invite a handful of senior clients on a conceptualized international journey they won’t soon forget. Not only is this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on affordable terms, but it’s also a personalized experience that caters to the client’s vision, personal style, and conceptual creativity from me.

I’m happy to share some exquisite portraits from last year’s destination shoot deep in the otherworldly Icelandic landscape. Last year, I traveled to Iceland with two stunning ladies, their moms, and three other photographers. The ethereal images we created were straight out of a fairy tale! Set against the starkness of a steel-gray sea and majestic mountainside, our models were incandescent in romantic, vintage clothing in quintessential bright colors. Iceland is radiant with natural wonders like black sand beaches, lush greenery, and volcanic reservoirs where lava meets ice. The purity and mystique of the landscape perfectly showcased my trademark photography style, which utilizes natural light to the fullest. But nothing shone more effervescently than our gorgeous models! I spent plenty of time researching Iceland before our journey started.
