I was fortunate enough to meet Alexis and her mom Amy last year. Alexis is a vibrant dancer with a passion for sports, especially volleyball. It’s hard to believe that I have been working with her for an entire year. In two short months she’ll be graduating from Viroqua High School.
For her spring session, we headed to Pettibone Park. Spring was in full bloom, and we got lucky with a lush green afternoon and clear blue skies. The whimsical portraits we captured in the natural sunlight really accented Alexis’s natural beauty.
Alexis’s summer session photos had a more urban tone that showcased her athleticism, love for volleyball, and bold personality. Her fall session threw us a bit of a curve ball. With the early cold front last year our poor trees never reached the beautiful fall colors we typically get. Of course as usually, Alexis was sport and just wanted to have fun! We drove around town trying to fine one tree, yes just one with some colors. Her winter session was shot amid a whirlwind of snow (we’re talking knee-deep snow), which Alexis and her mom took in stride with me. In beautiful stark contrast to the winter wonderland surrounding her, Alexis wore her beautiful red prom dress. I would have to say the highlight of her winter session was her mom digging up a buried tire so we could give Alexis some height.
I’ve had the best time with Alexis and her mom and so excited that I get to see her one more time for a dance shoot! Thank you Alexis and Amy for being such beautiful souls inside out. You’re one of the hardest working teens I know. No matter where the next chapter in your life takes you I’m confident you’ll be amazing!
